NRC in Iraq

Since the Government of Iraq declared that combat operations against the Islamic State group (IS) had ended in 2017, Iraq has been recovering from the significant damage and destruction caused by the armed conflict. Of the more than six million Iraqis who fled their homes since 2014, 4.5 million Iraqis have returned to their area of origin and 1.4 million remain internally displaced. Many Iraqis have returned to areas that lack basic infrastructure, services, and livelihood opportunities, or where explosive devices have not been cleared. Other challenges returnees and secondarily displaced people face include the lack of security, community acceptance, housing, property, and civil documentation issues as well as critical educational and health service gaps. Throughout this, Iraq continues to host over a quarter of a million Syrian refugees.

The UN estimates that more than 4.1 million Iraqis will need assistance in 2020, 1.77 million of them in acute need. With military operations against IS group having ended, the Iraqi government faces new challenges to ensure an inclusive reconstruction and reconciliation that will sustain peace.
Since 2010, NRC Iraq has been assisting internally displaced Iraqis, Syrian refugees, returnees, and host communities in Ninewa, Dohuk, Erbil, Kirkuk, Basra, Salahdeen, and Anbar Governorates.  

We focus on assisting the newly displaced, those experiencing protracted displacement in camps, and people returning to and living in hard-to-reach places by improving their chance of obtaining a durable solution.  NRC runs integrated programs across Iraq to respond to people in need using our shelter and settlements, education, camp management, legal assistance, livelihoods, and cash activities.

General Duties:

1. Adhere to NRC policies and Code of Conduct.
2. Provide support to NRC AMAL project team for their agricultural activities in Ba’aj and the areas follow Ba’aj.
3. Attend any assigned trainings provided by NRC or other partners.
4. Build positive relationship with the targeted communities.
5. Make sure to save NRC assets and visibility the through project lifecycle.
6. Lead team of daily workers within the areas of responsibility.

 

المهام العامة بالوظيفة:

1. الامتثال لاجراءات سياسات المجلس النرويجي للاجئين .
2. تقديم الدعم لموظفي قسم مشروع الامل للنشاطات الزراعية في قضاء بعاج و النواحي والقرى التابعة له .
3. المشاركة في التدريبات المقدمة من قبل المجلس النرويجي للاجئين أو شراكائهم.
4. بناء علاقات جيدة مع المستفيدين و الموظفين في المجتمعات المستهدفة.  
5. التاكد من الحفاظ على سلامة المعدات والاجهزة التابعة للمجلس النرويجي للاجئين خلال فترة عمل المشروع.
6. قيادة فريق من جامعي البيانات في مناطق المسؤولية.

 

Specific Duties:

1. Deliver training for the farmers of Farmers Field School.
2. Develop a curriculum for the farmers of Farmers Field School
3. Collecting the trines attendance on daily bases.
4. Conduction training needs assessments.
5. Provide the team with all essential information about the training plans and inform them in case of any difficulties that may occur.
6. Report the daily achievements to the line manager.
7. Organize and prepare the training site for the trines of Farmers Field School.
8. To perform other related duties as per request.

 

 

المهام الخاصة بالوظيفة:

1- تدريب مزارعي المدارس الزراعية الحقلية.

2- انشاء منهج للفلاحين المتدربين في المدارس الحقلية.

3- جمع الحظور اليومي للفلاحين المشاركين في التدريبات المدارس الزراعية الحقلية.

4- اجراء تقييمات لاحتياجات التدريب.

5- ابلاغ الفريق بجميع المعلومات الضرورية عن خطط التدريب و ابلاغهم باي صعوبة قد يتم مصادفتها.

6- ارسال تقارير يومية الى المدير المباشر.

7-تجهيز و تحضير الموقع لمتدربي المدارس الحقلية.

8-القيام باي متطلبات اخرى متعلقة بتدريب المداس الحقلية و حسب الحاجة.

 

 

Required qualifications:

1. The candidate must hold a Bachelor or institute degree of agriculture or relevant experience.
2. The ability to work in a team.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Arabic language (reading and writing) is a must, English language (reading and writing) is a plus.
5. An understanding of the circumstances, needs and challenges facing the communitiesin West Mosul.

 

المؤهلات المطلوبة:

1. شهادة جامعية للمتقدم او المعهد ضمن مجال الزراعة أو خبرة معادلة لها.
2. القدرة على العمل في فريق.  
3. ان يمتلك مهارات جيدة في التواصل.
4. اتقان اللغة العربية (القراءة والكتابة) واللغة الانكليزية تعتبر نقطة اضافية.
5.  تفهم الظروف والحاجات والتحديات التي تواجه المجتمعات المستهدفة.
