The Information Management Assistant shall support all goals and strategies of the iMMAP program in its work with national partners, international partners, and applicable donor agencies. In addition, the IMA will contribute and maintain constant and good contacts with the stakeholders.
- Assist with the development of training packages and supervise training.
- Assist in reviewing the qualitative and quantitative database cleanup process in coordination with the relevant stakeholders on a national and regional level.
- Assist in overseeing the daily operational directives for completion and quality with the assistance of the information management technical officer.
- Assist in compiling the monthly activity reports as required by various stakeholders with the assistance of the information management technical officer.
- Assist in performing a monthly audit of the collected information to ensure data completeness, integrity, and quality.
- Ensure the successful implementation of the standard working procedures for information management
- Assist in reviewing and updating internal process flow documentation to facilitate compliance to the relevant SWP and SOPs.
- Ability to visit Iraq provinces whenever required for any technical issues.
- Proactively gather information from sector partners and government authorities that may be of use to the sector to inform decisions.
- Assist in ensuring timely preparation and generation of information product, statistical reports, graphs, maps, and follow-up on cluster-specific trends.
- Assist in providing support on information sharing and dissemination through web platforms to all relevant humanitarian implementing partners.
- Participating in periodic information management meetings with the IM Iraq Team
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Good knowledge of GIS principles and GIS software.
- Good knowledge of relational database concepts
- Good knowledge of IT-related hardware and peripheral equipment.
- Good understanding of topographical map reading and 3D orientation.
- Knowledge of in MS-Access, MS SQL Server, and Office suite.
- Knowledge of software engineering theory and application development would be an asset.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate tasks to appropriate staff.
- Ability to coordinate with local administrators, government, NGOs working with community projects and agencies involved.
- Self-reliant and able to work independently.
- Previous office supervision in a similar environment would be an asset.
- Graduate of University in the field of Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Sciences, or any other similar field.
- At least 2 years of working experience in Information Management, Database Management, or any similar field.
- Good working knowledge of English, Arabic (written and spoken).
- Self-motivated and committed to working hours.
- Willingness to learn and accept multi-culture environment.
- English language skill is mandatory.
- High sense of responsibility
- Demonstrated reliability regarding attendance and work performance.
- Good Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
