Project title: Technical Assistance for the “D-TECH4ENT- Deep Technology Incubator for Entrepreneurs” project

 


Brief description:

The purpose of this contract is to enhance the commercialization and internationalization of innovative products by establishing a smart specialized interface targeting early stage deep-technology start-up commercialization.

 

Results to be achieved by the contractor:

  • Capacity of deep-tech incubator staff increased.
  • Internationalization and commercialization capacities of the target groups are increased
  • D-tech Incubation Programme implemented

 

This Project is composed of four main activities:

 

A. Service Capacity Building for D-Tech Staff

B. Capacity Building Activities for Startups

C. Implementation of D-Tech Incubation Program

D. Internationalization Activities for Selected D-Tech Startups.

 

Commencement date of the project: February 2022

 

Duration of the assignment: 550 days / 33 months

 

Requirements:

 

The Team Leader (TL) will primarily be responsible for Activity A and D of the Project. S/he will work full time for the Project. The TL will be responsible for the coordination and management of the technical assistance and inputs provided by the TAT (including the non-key experts). In his/her capacity as the  leader of the TAT, the main functions of the Team Leader will be as follows but are not limited to:

 

  • Preparing the technical parts of the contract reports, such as inception report, progress reports(as required by these ToR), and final report by obtaining inputs from key and non-key experts;
  • Preparing, in cooperation with other members of the technical assistance team, the work plans and resource schedules, and identify the profiles of non-key experts to be mobilised by the Contractor;
  • Proposing and agreeing with ERA on non-key experts, and supervising their work;
  • Reviewing the technical reports and proposals to be produced by the key and non-key experts and assure quality and coherence of reports;
  • Representing the project at key project-relevant events and meetings;
  • Monitoring the progress of the project on a daily basis against the agreed upon time plans, and report  possible  deviations from the agreed upon time plans and resource schedules to the beneficiary;
  • Reporting to SRER
  • Performing quality checks of the project implementation processes and outputs;
  • Diligently using the project budget securing value for money;
  • Ensuring good communication with key project stakeholders;
  • Actively involving and guiding key experts, non-key experts designing/revising/improving the content of the activities that will have an impact on the structure/delivery of other activities.

 

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Excellent command of English (speaking, reading and writing)

 

General professional experience

  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience following attainment of Bachelor’s Degree. Experience up to 20 years will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience as a team leader/deputy team leader/project manager/program manager in EU/internationally funded project/programme(s) (Only the references indicating uninterrupted 12 months of full-time presence or more experience will be considered acceptable)

 

Specific professional experience

  • Minimum 7 years of professional  experience in a senior pos1tton (manager, director, coordinator, senior expert, etc.) in institutional capacity building activities targeting knowledge transfer/technology commercialization
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a senior position (manager, director, coordinator, senior expert, etc.) in internationalization activities targeting commercialization of early-stage technologies
  • Having minimum of 7 years of experience in a startup supporting institution/organization/company (e.g. accelerator/incubator program, technology transfer office, technopark) will be considered as an asset
