Title: Lead Coordinator
Type of position: Full-time
Report to: Director
Duty Locations: Remotely (Must be based in Morocco)
Overview: Lead Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and execution of all tours and programs in Morocco. They will work closely with travelers and university representatives to design and develop tours and programs. They will lead and supervise Field Coordinators in their job duties, initiate partnerships with local agencies and businesses to support the growth of services offered, and be available to travelers for support while they are in the country. They will also manage marketing and outreach initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with travelers and university partners to design tours and programs
Maintain our traveler’s database on a regular basis
Respond to emails, answer phone calls and return messages promptly
Negotiate partnerships and business deals with local organizations and vendors in Morocco
Arrange transportation, accommodations, tour guides, meals, activities, and all other planned portions of traveler’s itinerary in collaboration with Field Coordinators
Create TIS document for travelers
Retain all receipts and documentation and file accordingly (insurance info, contracts, business trip costs, etc.)
Ensure that all travelers and program participants are comfortable and safe during their visit to Morocco
Conduct welcome presentations and informational sessions
Maintain consistent communication with all levels of the organization
Manage Social Media Accounts, as well as, marketing and outreach initiatives
Travel across the country when needed
Work holidays and weekends as needed
Supervise Field Coordinators and provide coaching and timely feedback
Stay updated on current worldwide travel conditions that could affect tours and programs
Any other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Fluent in Moroccan Arabic
Experience in International Education, Global Engagement, Hospitality, or Teaching
Experience living abroad
Knowledge of Morocco culture
An understanding of business practices in Morocco
Required Qualifications:
Fluent or Native in English
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience in customer service and project management
High attention to details and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with a little supervision
Comfortable following up and taking the lead of a situation
Comfortable working with a diverse range of colleagues and customers
Basic computer competency including Google Suites
Have access to a personal computer for work use
