Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch (KOHRW) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that was established in 1989 as national NGO. KOHRW is a nationally registered NGO with years of operational experience in the Iraq and KRI implementing humanitarian, recovery and development programming.
Job Overview
The Livelihoods Project Manager will be responsible for managing, coordinating, overseeing and directly implementing KOHRW’s Livelihood activities in Iraq. The Livelihoods Project Manager is responsible for designing and/or implementation, managing and ensuring delivery of all Livelihoods project activities – contextualization of materials, training, community engagement, beneficiary selection, grant disbursement and business follow up – in the project site, including managing a team of staff and developing further programming.
Roles& responsibilities:
- Lead on conducting assessments in collaboration with other sectors and the shaping of new project proposals in the project area, in accordance with the Programme Framework, ensuring that assessment reports are written and disseminated.
- Work in all aspects of Project Cycle Management.
- Contribute to the effective implementation of all operations support activities, including related to administration, finances and logistics, so as to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Conduct regular visits to project implementation areas and advice and support field staff with the identification and solution of technical issues.
- Provide supervision, guidance and monitoring for project staff, ensuring clarity over project plans and priorities and encouraging effective team work.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to the Director of Programs.
- At least four years’ experience in managing or supervising Livelihoods programs;
- Experience in project management including project monitoring, reporting, data management and budgeting;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good communication channels with relevant stakeholders.
