Supply and logistics is a support function that enables the delivery of Oxfam’s international programs, and it manages all activities relating to materials and services allowing projects to function effectively and with proper accountability, including coordination and collaboration with partners, affiliates, local governments, suppliers and other key stakeholders

Job Purpose

To provide logistics support for Anbar Program, responsible for the safety and maintenance of Oxfam resources.

key Responsibilities

Technical

  • To Provide support in procurement of items in line with Oxfam procedures
  • Collect quotations to conduct price comparisons among them in order to obtain the best value of money.
  • To provide support in keeping records and maintain contacts with suppliers and local repair/maintenance for money
  • To implement all logistics processes, including, purchasing, warehousing, communications, and transport, for Oxfam in the Anbar office.
  • To ensure that all Oxfam assets and equipment are registered in the Anbar office and guesthouses.
  • To perform any other duties as requested by the logistic Manager.
  • Supervise the Logistics support Staff Including drivers, prepare a weekly working schedule for the drivers.
  • Ensure the Oxfam rented vehicles movement guidelines are implemented and keep vehicle flies for all documentation for each vehicle and make sure that the vehicle daily logbook is maintained.
  • To Assist in managing Oxfam store in Anbar and all related documents (bin cards, stock cards, stock reconciliation cards, GRN’s, and waybills), and prepare stores reports on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that all Oxfam equipment, parts, and tools are stored safely and securely.

Essential

  • Good knowledge and experience in Procurement and storekeeping.
  • Good interpersonal and team-working skills.
  • Ability to keep clear and concise records.
  • Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs.
  • At least Two years experience in Logistics with a minimum of one year supervising/managing logistics operations within an NGO.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of operational logistics & supply practice, policies & procedures
  • Good written and spoken skills in Arabic and English language
  • Initiative and pro-active problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in the use of computers, Emails, and MS Office.
  • Strong ability to pay attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills
