Generic responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The Country Offices shall adapt them to the existing organizational chart and the size and complexity of the operations. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work- and Professional Development Plan.
- Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Ensure proper filing of fleet documents like vehicle rental contracts, driver tests sheet, driving license copies, vehicle registration copies, access letters copy and vehicle maintenance records.
- Make decisions on the ground with limited or remote supervision
- Receive materials and supplies, store them in assigned locations and distribute them according to NRC procedures
- Supervise packing, loading and unloading of all materials
- Informs suppliers on short supplies and ensures all over/wrongly consigned goods are returned to suppliers.
- Ensure availability of storage space and maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse at all times
- Ensure safety and security of materials
- Ensure that only authorized staff are allowed to enter the warehouse and receive supplies or materials
- Maintains an up-to-date electronic record of all correspondence related to purchase orders, requisitions and Good Received Notes (GRN) and records.
- Prepare periodic stock reports and assist in carrying out periodic inventory audits
- Immediately report losses, damages or discrepancies
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.
- Ensures correctness of the contents in respect of the purchase order.
- Receives and inspects the physical condition of consignments and scrutinizes relevant documents.
- Inform Support coordinator on expiry date of consumable items stored in warehouse.
- Update stock and update with relevant staff on weekly bases.
- Arrange truck laborers for loading and offloading materials at the warehouse.
- Implement fleet operations policies and procedures under direction of the Support Coordinator
- Supervise movement control drivers and provide support to them in line with NRC fleet policies and procedures to meet desired fleet operations objectives.
- Develop and maintain effective filing systems for vehicles, fleet human resource and power generation machines, both electronic and paper.
- Update and maintain effective movement plans and coordinate with Country Office fleet staff.
- Document fleet technical issues, gaps and questions, and channel to the Support Coordinator.
- Ensure ongoing fleet operations is well monitored, tracked and reported to Support Coordinator.

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience from working as a Logistics Assistant in a humanitarian/recovery context

- Fluency in English and Arabic Languages
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
- Computer skills (common Microsoft Windows and Office applications)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
3. Behavioral competencies :

Contract Duration: 6 months ( with the possibility of extension).
Duty Station: Anbar
