Summary
- Supervise the Logistic function (clearing, transporting, distributing, controlling operational expenses).
- Consulate warehouse team to store equipment’s as per technical standards.
- Supervise regional warehouse teams and activities to minimize the risk and increase the work efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics
- To act as a focal point for custom clearance for all shipments.
- Supervise and monitor daily activities related to all logistics sectors separately to ensure best activity performance.
- Dealing with all Korek logistics & warehouses in Iraq in order to facilitate Korek general shipment and trucks movement.
- Time and cost management for the transportation and distributing equipment’s from – to regions.
- To handle clearing and forwarding jobs according to professional standards and represent company with clients, customs officials, shipping companies, transporters, and simultaneous document cross verification for Loading / Unloading, etc.
- Provide a smooth operation for Korek shipment movement.
- Preparing logistics Monthly Reports and sending it to Logistics/WH Sr. Manager.
- Preparing & following up logistics official letters, expenses and file documentation of (Truck Waybills, Airport Air waybills, Shipment Invoices, Customs and Transportation bills and expenses).
- Coordinate and follow up official importation agreement letters from governmental affairs for Iraqi border and Airport Customs.
- In direct contact with sourcing team in order to have complete information regarding new shipment details.
- Perform any other duties it may require to facilitate logistics department tasks.
Warehouse
- Resource allocation and optimal utilization, supporting warehouse staff with transactional data related to the operations and WMS.
- Ensures the effective completion of warehouse tasks in the WMS for accurate and effective reporting of inventory.
- Identify as per input of technical dept. the dead and non-moving items throughout all regions and process their disposal thru scrap or other clearing process, as per the scrap sale policy.
- Make sure Korek network returned equipment’s from general sites and all Korek warehouses in Iraq are correctly registered and returned in main warehouse.
- Follow up on Korek warehouses in Iraq, to ensure items are stored according to the rules and processes of Warehouse management.
- Regularly field visiting to Korek warehouses in Iraq, to check and safety discuss working environment to solve out any newly obstacles.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies
- Able to assess the correct H.S. codes of items / merchandise for declaring on GDs.
- Complete awareness of regional geographies.
- Knowledge of local custom laws & ability to attend independently to customs officials’ objections / hearings.
- Global exposure to international & global logistics in all aspects of a materials warehouse operation, including goods receipts, materials movements and shipping.
- Knowledge of Incoterms.
- Ability to communicate openly, confidently and listens well to ensure common understanding and anticipate issues of other domain.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Time management (monitoring performance against deadlines and milestones).
- Lead teams and creates a spirit of teamwork to achieve better result.
- Ability to coordinate efforts/resources within and across boundaries to deliver goals.
- Ability to work in Warehouses.
