Overview:

Sabe’ Sanabul for Relief and Development is one of the active civil society organizations

In Iraq, a non-governmental organization dealing with humanitarian and relief issues,

Development and charitable affairs irrespective of race, religion, color and culture,

 We officially registered in the NGO Department of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers 

As a result, the organization was founded on 6/10/2013 and start to contributed in distribution of many needs

And relief assistance to  the families that  affected by war And disasters, and the organization is working to access humanitarian and relief assistance such as materials Food and life requirements to the poor, the destitute, , and the displaced ,And to help those affected by the war as well as paying special attention to women Children and people with special needs are concerned, with issues of women and children Contributing to support and raising their skills, as well as caring for widows, orphans and the oppressed.

Brief :

Education in Emergencies (EiE) response including back to learning (B2L) via blended learning approach, Anbar.

According to the Ministry of Planning and DoE, there are 7000 OOSC in Anbar, a number that has increased by 20% since the beginning of the pandemic. Community leaders indicated that economic exploitation and psychological distress among boys and girls affect their capacity to learn in a challenging educational environment.

 

To provide a comprehensive response to the needs of out of school children in Anbar, SSORD will leverage their knowledge of the local context and existing networks to strengthen community-based mechanisms that support children education, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. The approach will rely on cooperation with education authorities, caregivers, and local volunteers.

 

Currently, all schools are closed again due to the pandemic. SSORD continued to communicate and collect data from targeted people (students and teachers) since the last project with UNICEF in Anbar. SSORD has been trying to measure the impact of the previous project: understanding how students were affected by school closures, and identifing the weakness of current distance education

 

 

ME Officer responsibilities will be:
•Develop and strengthen monitoring and evaluation procedures
•Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output;
•Recommend further improvement of the logical frame work;
•Develop monitoring and impact indicator for the project success;
•Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
•Monitor the sustainability of the project’s results;
•Provide feedback to the Project Manager on project strategies and activities;
•Report monthly, quarterly, etc on all project activities to the Project Manager;
•Support monitoring and evaluation of the effects and impact of the project;
•Assist the project personnel with M&E tools and in supporting them in their use.
•Perform other duties as required;
•Assist the Project Manager in preparing other relevant reports;
•Organize and conduct training on M&E for project staff
•Assist Project Manager in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned from project innovations;
•Prepare Issues Log and Risk Log for the project.
•Develop M&E system for the Project and for stakeholders;
•Prepare and maintain data base

 

Education: 
University Degree preferably in Business Administration, Economics or related field.

Experience: 
•At least 2 year  of experience in the design and implementation of M&E in development projects

  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports; 
    •Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software;
    •Strong training & facilitation skills.

Language Requirements: 
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
