Manager, Clinical Supervision

DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society is seeking a full-time Manager, Clinical Supervision to support our Counselling Programs. The Manager, Clinical Excellence is responsible for ensuring that programs, services, and practices are aligned with clinical knowledge, best practices, and evidence. This position will be responsible for building capacity, providing clinical supervision, training of staff and interns, and working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance our services in line with the organization’s values and vision

Key Responsibilities:
Supports the design, management, and implementation of multi-disciplinary systems of care, supervising and supporting clinical and case management staff providing individual and group counselling services;

Provides clinical supervision, support, and consultation through individual and group case review in clinical programs;

In collaboration with the management team, supports the recruitment, orientation, and supervision of staff;

Ensures that individual treatment plans are designed, implemented and evaluated on a continuing basis and that case plans and client files are kept up to date;

Supports the intake screening processes and assigns clients to counselling team;

Oversees intern student program, including processing of applications and providing clinical supervision to student intern counsellors;

Provides direct supervision to clinical counsellors;

Responsible for the development, adoption, and commitment to clinical best practices;

Provides case consultation for developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating plans and programs designed to ensure that clients’ needs are met;

Ensures that accurate program and client records are maintained, and that confidentiality is a priority. Conducts regular file reviews and implements file management processes to ensure that all pertinent documentation is complete. Ensures adherence to agency, ethical, funding, and legal requirements;

Identifies staff training needs and organizes/participates in offering in-service training and participate in annual training schedule;

Assesses the effectiveness of programs and implements changes in consultation with management team;

Works collaboratively with the management team to ensure ongoing quality of service delivery; identifies gaps in service and recommends strategies to respond to client needs;

Participates in the preparation of funding applications and proposals as required;

Works collaboratively with the management team in the preparation of statistical and narrative reports as required by the agency and funders;

Represents the agency at community functions, meetings or task groups as needed and may provide presentations when required.

Qualified candidates will posses:
Masters in counselling, social work, psychology or related field with a focus on work with children, youth, and families and/or addictions;

Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) designation from the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors OR a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through CCPA;

5-years experience as a clinician;

2-years supervisory experience;

Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and staff supervisory skills;

Willing to work some evenings and weekends, as needed.

Preference will be given to candidates who also posses:
Supervision experience in a unionized environment;

Familiarity with MCFD reporting guidelines and protection concerns;

Previous program management experience, including program outcome evaluation, budgeting, report writing and program planning;

Verbal fluency in a second language is an asset; Arabic, Mandarin or Punjabi preferred;

Experience with funding and proposal/grant writing;

Knowledge of Surrey, North Delta, White Rock, and/or Langley communities.

A criminal record check is required as a part of this process.
