Context

Under the general guidance of IOM Iraq MHPSS Program Coordinator, the overall supervision of the National

MHPSS Officer, the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub Office (HoSO) and the direct supervision of

the Senior MHPSS and Livelihood Integration Assistant in close coordination with the CSU Area Coordinator,

the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting MHPSS programme activities, with a specific focus

on MHPSS and Livelihood Integration (MLI) programming and activities, by performing the following functions

and responsibilities:

Core Functions / Responsibilities

1. Support the planning, coordination and implementation of MHPSS and Livelihood Integration (MLI)

programme activities, including the organization and facilitation of MHPSS awareness sessions and

peer-support groups. This is done in close coordination with the Senior MHPSS and Livelihood

Integration Assistant and Area Coordinator.

2. Ensure consistent coordination and follow up with the livelihood programme to ensure timely

implementation of MLI activities.

3. Support the collection of participant feedback, engage in consistent data collection and entry.

Managing all data and resources confidentially.

4. Assist the area coordinator, Senior MLI assistant and National MHPSS officer in the overall

management of the MLI projects, including administrative, coordination, project development and

reporting functions.

5. Offer individual support and counseling to beneficiaries if required, under the supervision of the

Senior MLI assistant and National MHPSS officer.

6. Develop individualized and case-centered support plans and provide detailed information about the

identified/registered beneficiaries to the IOM psychologist and Senior MLI assistant.

7. Provide psychosocial first aid and emotional support to affected population in case of sudden/on-going

emergency.

8. Attend trainings and inductions as instructed and paying full attention to detail.

9. Assist with any other MHPSS-related activities or programming in Kirkuk as instructed.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Educational Psychology, or other relevant social

sciences from an academic accredit university or institute.

Experience and Skills:

At least 2 years of experience in similar context in the field.

Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of people including people of culturally

diverse backgrounds.

Experience in facilitating individual and group sessions.

Experience in collecting information and data entry.

Languages:

Fluency in English, Arabic and Kurdish is required.
