1. Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Implement delegated M&E project portfolio according to plan of action
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by M&E Coordinator
- Ensure proper filing of documents
- Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist
- Promote and share ideas for technical improvement
- Support and contribute to the development of a data management system through documentation, implementation and coordination of standardizes information flow of M&E activities and reporting
- Conduct field monitoring and verification of implemented projects as needed
Specific responsibilities:
- Conducting data collection from the field for Monitoring and Evaluation with beneficiaries’ non-beneficiaries within the target communities.
- Support the M&E coordinator with data analysis, and provide inputs to reports.
- Ensure quality data collected from the field using pre-defined tools.
- Support the M&E coordinator in maintain the M&E databases updated.
- Support the programme staff in sensitizing target communities on NRC Community Accountability Response Mechanism (CARM).
- Conducting KIIs, FGDs and Surveys as requested.
- Carry out field monitoring visits and follow-ups.
- Carrying out PDMs, PIMs, Classroom observations and Outcome surveys.
- Support in developing data collection methodology and tools, and in actual data collection, as needed.
- Support in data management and development of clear information flow between program and M&E staff
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative field monitoring and verification of project implementation.
- Any other task relevant to the position as requested by M&E Coordinator.
2. Our Ideal Candidate:
- Experience and knowledge of principles and current approaches to monitoring and evaluation in relief and/or development programs, using both quantitative and qualitative methods
- University bachelor degree preferably in social science, economics, rural development or in other related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in an international/local non-governmental organization (I/NGO) preferably in an emergency or post-conflict setting, including M&E capacity and systems development
- Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Fluency English and Arabic – both written and verbal
3. Other information:
Contract Duration: 4 months
Duty Station: Central Iraq Area office Kirkuk

Salary: G4/S1, According to NRC’s Iraq salary scale and terms and conditions.
