This job, under general supervision, assumes responsibility for clerical tasks which support and contribute the department. Operates a multiline telephone console, accepting and relaying messages to staff members. Maintains all filing systems.
Education
Required – High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required – 1 year clerical experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard

Job Duties
Performs general clerical and receptionist duties, such as processing and distributing daily mail and taking accurate phone messages (written and orally) and delivering to appropriate person/section.
Provides excellent customer service within the department.
Maintains all reports necessary for the department.
Maintains organized record keeping and general office filing systems.
Completes deliveries and assists with errands, if assigned.
Other related duties as required.
