Job Description
Siemens Power Generation Services delivers service solutions for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, compressors, and pumps to increase efficiency, reliability and availability throughout the entire lifecycle of customers’ assets. We partner with our customers to achieve optimal performance and success by offering maintenance services, modernizations and upgrades, remote monitoring, lifetime extensions and digital solutions to logistical and turnkey services for onshore rotating equipment.
Khormala Power Plant, Kurdistan. Iraq.
Responsible for monitoring plant condition in the field, taking readings, conducting/resetting isolation measures, responding to emergency situations, carrying out
minor repair works (valve/pump packing tightening etc.)
Lets talk about you and your technical background?
- The successful candidate should have Power plant experience.
- Experience and competent in fixing hands on Mechanical, Electrical, or I&C maintenance issues is a must.
- In depth exposure to Boiler Operator class A
- Been an Operator of first class pressure vessel
- Been an Operator of high pressure gas specific equipment.
- BFS++ (Plant management knowledge) for FN/WO/WP module.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good command of the English language.
Plant availability, compliance with work plan and plant safety regulations, compliance with engineering procedures
Day to day activities.
- Take readings, maintaining field records
- Conducting isolation measures
- Resetting isolation measures
- Responding to emergency situations
- Carrying out minor repair works (valve/pump packing tightening etc)
- Utilize computerized Plant Management System BFS++ when reporting faults and performing work on site
- Continuously improve technical knowledge by attending training courses obtaining additional job related licenses
- Ensure own safety and safety of others by strictly complying with plant safety regulations.
- Protect the environment by reducing hazardous waste and avoiding unnecessary spillages
- Support other departments wherever practical and possible
