Partner Liaison and Programme Coordinator-Iraq (2271)


We are looking for a Partner Liaison and Programme Coordinator within the Eurasia & North Africa team. You will manage a portfolio of partner organizations, ensuring the effective design, assessment, resourcing and monitoring of partner projects to support the delivery of Tearfund’s country strategy in Iraq and Afghanistan.
As Partner Liaison and Programme Coordinator you will support the development and implementation of the country strategies, assessing the partnership portfolio, supporting our partners technically  and exploring new partnerships to ensure our programmes reflect Tearfund’s Quality Standard commitments.  You will mentore, train and advise partner organisation staff to ensure good practice, quality implementation and compliance with Tearfund and donor requirements for programming and operations.
You will ensure Tearfund’s representation and active participation at regional and local coordination meetings and project related cluster meetings and build positive local working relationships with local communities. government officials, local churches, UN and donor representatives
 The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven experience of working in a humanitarian and development context with institutional donors
  • Experience in community development and project management
  • Proven ability in capacity development of local partner organisations
  • Be able to build rapport and engage with churches and/or church-based organisations
  • Project cycle management and evaluation experience and in budget development and management
  • Experience in delivering training or mentoring others in good programme practice
  • Fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English
  • Ability to gain respect of church leaders and CEOs of partner organisations
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Good managerial, organisational and administrative skills

Please note: This role will be based in  Erbil, Iraq. Applicants must possess a valid passport/visa stating the right to live and work in Iraq. 

Salary package: Basic salary 48,565,400 IQD
