Job Purpose |
Support Finance Team to follow up with Oxfam partners. provide guidance and review all financial transactions and reports.
Key Responsibilities |
- Supports the Partners Finance Team in ensuring accounting systems, policies, procedures are properly understood and undertaken by all staff.
- Contribute to assisting partners in building budgets.
- Contribute to assisting partners in submitting budget amendments when necessary.
- Assess the overall internal control procedure for partners.
- Verifying all partner payment requests, ensuring that all supporting documents are attached as per Oxfam policy, authorized by the budget holder, ensure no double payment is made.
- Assist partners in the month-end closing and reporting process.
- Assist partners in preparing monthly financial reports.
- Assist to Ensure the Oxfam finance system is well function and in place with the partners. (daily payment tracking, safekeeping money).
- Assist to ensure that all Partner’ financial transactions is updated and filed properly on daily basis and easily accessible.
- Assist in Ensures adherence to donor’s and Oxfam financial requirements, internal controls, and systems and procedures are in place to accommodate the needs of partners/Donors.
- Assist in prepares monthly budget monitoring and accurate donor reports in accordance with the specified format within the agreed timeframe in coordination with the program.
- Support to solidify monthly top-up requests for the partners.
- Assists the Finance Manager in the efficient conduct of project/donor audit and internal audit exercise where needed.
- Assists Finance Coordinator in conducting orientation and capacity-building exercises for respective partner teams as applicable to ensure that the financial standards are always maintained.
- Assists in conducting partners’ appraisals and reviews of financial reports from partners to ensure compliance with Oxfam and donor’s standards and guidelines.
- Provides capacity-building support to partners in the area of documentation, assisting in regular visits and monitoring to the local partners.
- Perform other tasks reasonably requested by Partnerships and operations Finance Coordinator.
Qualifications |
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting, Business administration, or another related field |
Minimum 2 – years experience in NGO Finance. |
Desirable |
Written and verbal communication skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft office especially excel Accuracy and attention to detail Effective in coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines. |
