Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Planning Engineer on a 4/4 rotation located in Basra, Iraq.
- Responsible for the provision of all aspects of project planning and scheduling, to the project team and client

Responsible for communications and reporting within internal team and with the client in accordance with contract planning and scheduling meetings schedule(s) and reporting requirements

The position will require a hands-on approach to the delivery of all aspects of project planning and scheduling for all projects within the contract scope

Accountable for Planning and Scheduling activities within the BP Caspian contract

Skills / Qualifications
Knowledge and experience of project planning and scheduling principles and techniques within the Oil and Gas industry.
Must have detailed knowledge of and familiarity with manual and computerised project planning and scheduling techniques.
Details knowledge of project work breakdown structures (WBS) techniques to enable effective development and management of project schedules.
Good communicator who will liaise with Lead and Project Engineers to ensure schedules are produced and updated in a timely manner. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Team player.
Planning and organisational skills. Proactive attitude and ability to contribute to the continuous improvement of the planning and scheduling process for Contract.
Ability to:
- Work with engineering and construction to develop project baseline schedules
- Capture project progress status on ongoing periodic basis
- Analyse project progress status and articulate this to project team and client
- Prepare / review / approve all project planning and scheduling project status reports as required
