UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. In Turkey, in line with the overall UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and with the UN Women Country Strategic Note (2019-2022), UN Women works towards three overarching goals: 1) Women lead, participate in, and benefit equally from governance systems; 2) All women and girls live a life free from all forms of violence; 3) Women and girls contribute to and have greater influence in building sustainable peace and resilience and benefit equally from the prevention of natural disasters and conflicts and humanitarian action. Reporting to Country Director, the Programme Analyst provides support to the effective management of UN Women programmes and operations in the UN Women Turkey Office by contributing in the programme design, formulation, implementation and evaluation. The Programme Analyst supports the delivery of UN Women programmes by analyzing results achieved during implementation and supporting appropriate application of systems and procedures. Within this scope, The Programme Analyst also supports Operations Analyst specifically in terms of ensuring flow of information and communication between the Programmes and Operations and other units within or outside of UN Women. The Programme Analyst works in close collaboration with the programme and operations team, UN Women RO, and HQ staff as relevant, multi and bi-lateral donors and civil society ensuring successful UN Women programme implementation under portfolio. |

Duties and Responsibilities |

1. Contribute technically to the development of programme strategies in the area of combating violence against women and girls and women’s economic empowerment
2. Provide technical and operational support to the implementation and management programme initiatives in the above areas
3. Provide technical assistance and capacity development support to project/programme partners
4. Provide technical inputs to the monitoring and reporting of the programme/ project
5. Provide technical support to the management and operations of the Turkey Country Office
6. Contribute to building partnerships and resource mobilization strategies
7. Provide technical inputs to inter-agency coordination on combating violence against women and women’s economic empowerment to achieve coherence and alignment of UN Women programmes with other partners in Turkey
8. Provide inputs to advocacy, knowledge building and communication efforts
