Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the TYLP is a partnership between the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in Tunisia and Teachers College, Columbia University to deliver hybrid (remote and in-person) training on the delivery of e-instruction to cohorts of up to 60 trainees per year. Reporting directly to the PI, Professor ZhaoHong Han, the Project Assistant will support content development and will operate remotely while the College is closed due to COVID-19 precautions. However, this role may move on campus once the College decides that it is safe to do so.
Job Duties
Assist students and instructors with any of their technical or procedural issues
Coordinate community events
Assist PI and Project Coordinator with program initiatives as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Successful candidates must demonstrate the following:
Very strong writing and communications skills
Very strong organizational skills (must be detail-oriented)
Strong work ethic and ability to work flexible hours to accommodate international time zones when needed for meetings
Strong computer skills (MS Word Suite, Google Suite, Canvas etc.)
Ability to work successfully with diverse groups of people
Must be a TC student taking at least 6 credits or the equivalent
Must be able to exercise professional judgement; work independently and show initiative
Preferred Qualifications
At least 1 year of professional experience in an education or academic administration position
Experience working with international education programs
Proficiency in Arabic
