Management:

  • Oversee supervision of office staff management including: resolution of issues, timely responses to questions submitted for feedback, attendance to ensure presence of sufficient staff at all times, conduct regular meetings and share minutes with management.
  • To provide regular support to the project staff, solve any occurred issues, and create harmonized atmosphere between the staff.
  • To manage the office/project daily procedures and liaise with IR Iraq management in country office to provide update
  • To coordinate with the local authorities in Diyala and ensures that IR Iraq works are done in a smooth and effective manners.   
  • Assign and monitor tasks and functions among staff based on their duties and responsibilities

Program Implementation:

  • Develop an implementation plan and ensure the effective tracking of the WASH, Shelter and settlement project
  • Plan, implement and track progress on WASH, Shelter and settlement according to a Detailed Implementation Plan; ensure implementation on time and within budget and that activities deliver positive change for beneficiaries; set high quality performance targets and ensure adherence to technical standards, best practices and donor guidelines.
  • Oversee the work of the project team during preparatory work and assessments, technical requirements, targeting and selection, program modalities, and compliance with IR Iraq agreements and governmental requirements.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of strong MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) systems for the project, using appropriate IR Iraq tools and resources to maximize project impact on beneficiaries; ensure that quarterly project reviews are undertaken for projects and resulting learning fed back into project design.
  • Support beneficiaries to identify local resources opportunities including market availability
  • To develop progress reports based on monitoring plan and Log frame
  • Coordinate with the stakeholders for the success of the project
  • Conduct regular follow-up and with the project beneficiaries
  • Conduct regular field visit to monitor project progress identify problem and recommend solution
  • Participate in need assessment and feedback to the project management and data collection
  • Prepare reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly and Annually basis
  • Train staff on relevant subject
  • Perform any other task assigned by the line manager and IR Iraq management

 Coordination: 

  • At the local level, represent IR Iraq and liaise with the WASH and shelter sub-cluster, local authorities, UN, and international and national NGOs to facilitate successful coordination of activities and ensure transparency in the community
  • Liaise regularly with the Line Manager and project team to provide updates on the program, discuss emerging challenges, and collaborate on the design of new programs or changes to existing programs
  • In coordination with the project team, work with Partner’s staff to develop project documents including inception report, monitoring plans, contracts and activity plans
  • Supervise and coordinate partnership processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship and coordinate with County authorities, relevant international and local agencies engaged in similar intervention activities in the country
  • Bachelor Degree in a directly related field preferred, significant work experience in a directly related field will be considered in lieu of graduate degree. Business Administration, or another related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working on a related project in emergency or post-conflict environment
  • Excellent experience in leading and managing projects activities.
  • Strong coordination skills with proven ability to work across multiple technical areas simultaneously, supporting and mentoring multiple staff members
  • Ability to write quality reports and concept notes
  • Professional fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic Languages
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, Email, etc)
