Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Director of Documentation, the Project Manager is expected to fulfil the following duties:

–        Provide ongoing support and guidance to 10+ production trainees, in the making of videos and documentation of sites of cultural significance

–        Oversee the cataloging of Yazidi intangible heritage

–        Work closely with Yazidi scholars and teachers in the development of the Tîrêja Rojê/Ray of the Sun curriculum

–        Write quality monthly narrative reports, reflecting the progress and status of projects in a transparent, timely and professional manner

–        Interview staff for the project and make recommendations for final hiring

–        Oversee project staff’s adherence to professional standards in relation to interviewing, documenting and consent as outlined by protocols, rules, and regulations

–        Oversee the development of the project website/s and media channels

–        Champion Yazidi cultural heritage at all levels

Requirements:

–        Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience and knowledge of Yazidi cultural heritage

–        Knowledge of Sinjar area, both North and South sides

–        Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead collaborative working relationships with a diverse group of relevant stakeholders

–        Fluent in Kurdish (Kurmanji) language and English and good understanding of Arabic

–        Good computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel

–        Willingness to work outside normal working hours and travel on occasion to Nineveh Province, including to Bashiqa and Bahzani

–        Proficiency with video and audio sound-recording equipment and lighting

–        Experience with cataloging footage and data management

–        Experience with maintaining websites
