General job description:
The Data entry Clerk will be a part of the Monitoring and Evaluation unit ensuring timely and accurate data in available for presentations and reporting. The database clerk will get field information from program teams to ensure data is available for verification of project deliverables. S/he will collect, record and analyze relevant data for the team to measure program impact and ensure compliance with organization and donor standards.
HEKS/EPER expects its personnel to behavior in accordance with local culture and traditions. The incumbent assures the moral protection of the name of HEKS/EPER and upholds in all circumstances the interests of the organization.
HEKS/EPER intervenes without any affiliation to politics, religion, or financial profit. The incumbent will direct his or her activities and engagements without preoccupation of political, racial or religious affiliation.
Main responsibilities:
Collecting and entering beneficiaries data
- Conduct field visits when required to record finding from field;
- Ensure data is collected correctly and in a timely manner
- Ensure the data of legal assistance activity is collected correctly and there are no missing documents.
- Enter monitoring data into computer-based data collection system according to schedule
- Participate in the development of a comprehensive database
- Work in collaboration with the M&E Assistant to provide timely reports and data summaries.
- Conduct and monitor surveys and assessments as needed by Project Coordinator/Project Manager.
- Assess and monitor data and information systems to improve efficiency and accuracy of data.
- Support the establishment of an information desk and produce various information products as required.
- Support the development of a complaint and feedback mechanism, supervise the data collection and ensure data analysis and data sharing.
- Support partner information needs through provision of data and mapping.
- Daily interaction with stakeholders, answering questions and solving issues related to the database and information management activities.
- Design and conduct group information sessions to the beneficiaries and/or stakeholders.
- Ensure proper filing of documents in both hard and soft copies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Support Log and Admin/HR/finance departments when requested by the HR/Line Manager.
Security and child safety
Understands and applies security policies and fraud prevention policies.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Skills:
Required: University degree in a related field (Computer science and related fields).
Required qualities: organized, sense of human relations, diplomacy, communication skills.
Desirable: proactive, autonomous, rigorous, analytical, willingness and motivation to work in an international and intercultural context.
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and humanitarian values.
- Ability to work in unstable, uncertain or potentially dangerous environments, independently and in a team.
- Assist in designing and developing database management systems, monitoring tools and data collection, information management tools/templates. Conduct regular quality control of data, ensure that information is up-to-date.
- Experience in using databases
- Experience in using KOBOTOOL, ODK, SurveyMonkey, Microsoft forms, or humanitarian information management system.
- Experience working within an international NGO is preferred
- Fluency in English and Arabic, both verbal and written is required.
- Professional computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of financial systems and procedures.
- Reliable to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Previous experience in Accounting
- Previous experience with an NGO is appreciated.
- Previous experience in emergency response is appreciated.
