Resilient livelihood Officer will be directly responsible for implementation of day to day project activities in the field. He/she will be responsible in the registration of targeted beneficiaries, conducting trainings to the different target groups of the project. He or she will be supporting the local partners in the implementation of the activities in the field.
Team Purpose
To ensure implementation of response activities and contribute to economic and livelihoods development of the population affected by the crisis in Iraq.
Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for the implementation of day-to-day project activities in the field locations based on the agreed plan.
- Conduct beneficiary selection for the program’s various intervention schemes based on socio-economic vulnerability assessment.
- Take part in and coordinate the project related assessments and mapping under the direct support from project Manager Livelihoods
- Under direct supervision from the Project, Manager Livelihoods conduct training and capacity building of project participants/ beneficiaries.
- Ensure that all the activities under her/his responsibility are implemented in accordance with Oxfam guidelines, ensuring standards of accountability and the Oxfam Feedback Mechanism is being properly implemented through all project activities
- Facilitate MoUs and contracts between project participants and service/input providers.
- Coordinate with all the relevant local authorities in the field to ensure smooth implementation of the project through maintaining good working relationships with all the stakeholders in the field
- Support the Project Manager Livelihoods to come up with weekly activity report from the field.
- Support in the record-keeping of all the project documents and ensuring that all the information is updated in the files.
- Under the direct guidance from the Project Manager Livelihoods officer support all the local partners in the day-to-day implementation of the activities.
- Understand and follow relevant standard procedures for cash interventions including compliance with relevant policies.
- Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager Livelihoods is responsible for the implementation of the activities in the field.
- Any other duties will be assigned by the Project Manager Livelihoods
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Management, Economics, Development studies, Social Sciences or related fields.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in working in early recover and development contexts, especially in women’s economic empowerment programs.
- Experience in supporting value chains and engagement with the private sector is highly desirable.
- Experience in the agricultural sector, especially working with farmers associations, is highly desirable.
- Proven Management experience, including line management of staff and management of resources, is essential.
- Solid knowledge of developing and implementing work and monitoring plan is essential.
- Experience of project implementation through local partners.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Good understanding of community participation, and very good ability to communicate with beneficiaries.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural team.
- Strong commitment to gender equality and social justice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and with limited supervision in a challenging environment.
- Proven knowledge of computerized systems; high degree of computer skills (word, Excel and power point).
- Potential and flexibility of attitude to learn.
