Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Duties (Summary)
The position functions as a Construction Safety & Health Officer (CSHO), providing OBO/Erbil with professional expertise, advice and guidance relating specifically to construction project site safety and health issues. This includes all phases of building construction operations, including site development, excavation, foundation, superstructure, exterior walls, mechanical and electrical systems, and interior finish work. The incumbent is responsible for assuring contractor compliance with U.S~ Department of State and localhost country construction safety and health rules and regulations at the project site.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical, mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering from an accredited institution is required.
Prior Work Experience
Five (5) years in the construction trade field with experience in occupational safety or industrial hygiene is required.
Language Required
English Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Writing/Reading. (This May be tested)
Kurdish Level III (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Writing/Reading (This May be tested)
