The Chaldean Community Foundation is seeking a Security Guard to join its team on site, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to attend to and maintain all aspects of safety and security at the CCF, including managing and monitoring guest building attendance as well as CCF grounds. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Arabic and Chaldean languages.
Job Responsibilities
Screen clients entering the building for Covid-19 and other related health and safety concerns
Ensure the safety and security of the CCF building, staff, clients and guests during normal office hours
Walk the perimeter of the CCF building, inside and outside
Manage CCF guests and client traffic during events
Ability to manage conflict and de-escalate agitated situations
Create and maintain a reporting log of critical situations
Some schedule flexibility is required.
Education and Experience
3 to 5 years of experience working in organizational security is required.
Associates degree in Criminal Justice, Security Administration or related field preferred.
Knowledge of security systems including building alarms and cameras is required.
CPR and AED training preferred.
Skills and Requirements
Fluency in Arabic is required
Neat and professional appearance is require
Provide a high level of customer service to clients and guests.
Punctual
Effective public communication and interaction skills in both Arabic and English; fluency in the Chaldean language is also preferred.
Occasionally work in outside weather conditions which may include exposure to seasonal weather such as extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
Physical ability to remain standing and walking for hours at a time
Some heavy lifting may be required
A valid Michigan drivers license is required
