About the Role
Kraken is expanding our rapidly growing compliance team comprised of talented and motivated individuals. We are looking for a capable compliance associate to join the team of motivated financial/technology professionals and work with our teams worldwide, and be part of the expert global compliance group.
If you find yourself drawn to the requirements of various sanction regimes, then this is a perfect role for you! This role is part of the Sanctions Compliance team and will work to fulfil the daily operations of the team; this includes conducting watchlist screening, sanctions investigations, monitoring internal controls, and more.
Responsibilities
Draft sanctions policies and procedures
Conduct sanctions reviews and investigations
Perform sanctions due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, as necessary
Review new products and services for sanctions risks
Create sanctions training materials
Requirements
Four-year degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years’ experience in a sanctions compliance role
Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
Ability to take ownership of work product and consistently deliver results
Adaptability to global business needs
Ability to work in a rapidly changing regulatory environment
Nice to have
Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Russian, Arabic, etc.)
Legal or regulatory background
Technical product experience
