The Radar Sensor Systems (RSS) Contracts Team is searching for an accomplished and skilled Contracts professional to join our team and support a diverse portfolio in Syracuse, NY. This Staff Contracts Management position supports the Ground Based Air Surveillance (GBAS) Market Sub-segment on high priority international DCS contracts and proposals The selected candidate will be responsible for leading complex captures and proposal negotiations, and managing customer relationships to ensure programs meet their financial metrics. The candidate must demonstrate full knowledge and expertise in contract drafting, interpretation and risk analysis, and is expected to exercise initiative and independent action. The candidate also must be a strategic thinker who is able to craft effective business contracts and agreements with our key customers, in concert with multifunctional stakeholders and the GBAS management team. Establishing internal and external customer relationships is imperative. This role requires occasional international travel, including short notice and to locations in the Middle East.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 years of professional experience; or 5 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.

  • Must have significant International DCS (Direct commercial sale) and/or commercial contracting experience.
  • Analytical thinking, risk analysis and problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of negotiation techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; effective in a dynamic team

environment

  • Commitment to travel internationally as required.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance
  • Works well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work onsite at least twice a week. Subject to COVID restrictions.

Desired Skills:

  • NCMA CCCM or IACCM CCM Certification
  • JD or MBA
  • Fluent knowledge of Arabic, spoken and written
