Administration Officer (Open to Iraqi Nationals Only)

Role and responsibilities:

  • Develop, Implement and maintain effective office administrative systems and procedures whilst ensuring that controls are monitored and reinforced.
  • Responsible for obtaining governmental approvals for office, guesthouses and apartments
  • L Coordinate and finalise the lease agreement process such as obtaining offers/quotations, finalising lease agreements, timely payments of lease rental , obtaining approval from Asiysh interview and any other matters related to leasing.
  • Ensure repairs and maintenance services for the office & guest houses are managed well.
  • Ensure all payments of utility bills for office and guest houses; water, electricity and security are processed on time.
  • Assign, supervise and appraise the work of administration support staff and hired services e.g. cleaners, Admin Assistant.
  • Assist HR/Admin coordinator in Administration related issues
  • Provide other support as requested by Senior Managers and Line Manager.
  • Act as focal point for cleaners and their attendance
  • Ensure NRC GH have adequate consumables  including timely renewing of internet fees

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience in similar roles in an INGO/UN agency.
  • Experience from working as admin Officer in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Keen sense of compliance with policy and procedure
  • Strong organizational and team working skills
  • Good cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Good computer application skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database and network communications

 

Other Information:

  • Contract Duration: 12 months ( with the possibility of extension)
  • Duty Station:  Erbil- Iraq
  • Health Insurance is provided
  • Salary: G5/S1, According to NRC’s Iraq salary scale and terms and conditions.
