In Iraq, a non-governmental organization dealing with humanitarian and relief issues, Development and charitable affairs irrespective of race, religion, color and culture, We officially registered in the NGO Department of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers ,As a result, the organization was founded on 6/10/2013 and start to contribute in distribution of many needs And relief assistance to  the families that  affected by war And disasters, and the organization is working to access humanitarian and relief assistance such as materials Food and life requirements to the poor, the destitute, , and the displaced ,And to help those affected by the war as well as paying special attention to women Children and people with special needs are concerned, with issues of women

 

and children Contributing to support and raising their skills, as well as caring for widows, orphans and the oppressed.

Brief :

The IRC proposes a nine-month intervention aimed at addressing the protection and legal needs of IDPs and returnees in out-of-camp areas affected by displacement and camp closures in Anbar, Kirkuk and Salah al-Din. The action will be implemented in a consortium with local NGOs Justice Center (JC) and SSORD Organization (SSORD).

The general protection program will include integrated protection and legal assistance, including IRC providing the protection programming in Kirkuk and Salah al-Din through community representative groups, protection monitoring and referrals, protection information, and cash for protection. To improve people’s ability to access justice, the legal program will be delivered by JC and IRC in Salah al-Din and Kirkuk consisting of a three-pronged approach: legal information/awareness, legal assistance, and advocacy on civil documentation, personal status and detention related matters. Both legal and protection awareness activities will be carried out both in-person at community level and online using Signpost two-way communication and information digital platforms. The latter will ensure a greater reach of beneficiaries, with critical information on protection and legal matters coupled with relevant information on other topics such as public health (COVID-19 containment measures) and social cohesion. Child protection interventions include prevention and response services such as case management, provision of structured PSS for children, parenting programming, youth activities, establishment and support of community based committees, and community-level awareness events.

 

coordinator :

 

The coordinator will be based in AL Anbar, , . The coordinator will work directly under the supervision of the project manager to assist with program implementation, ensuring that all program activities will be implemented in line with the project work plan and the donor’s standards and requirements. The project coordinator will provide support for technical oversight of all components of the project, including working closely with the local implementing partner to ensure successful project implementation.

Project implementation support

  • Works closely with the project manager in identifying the needs and the necessary steps for implementing the project effectively, toward reaching strategic objectives and intermediate results.

 

  • In close coordination with the project mobile legal officers, and project manager, closely monitor the developments of the program activities (case files review, community awareness, protection assessments, etc.).

 

  • Provides support for planning, organizing, and preparing trainings, community awareness sessions, assessments and other activities to achieve project objectives.

 

  • Assists in supporting, monitoring and counseling project implementing partner to enhance effectiveness of activities, including providing on-site training and mentoring to partners.

Reports to project manager, with oversight from deputy country director and country director.

 

  • Supports project manager in managing partner relationships and serves as back-up point of contact for project partners in absence of project manager

 

  • Collaborates closely with project manager and deputy country director on a daily basis

 

  • Provides support and interacts with project partners in Iraq,

 

  • Communicates with country director, deputy country director and support staff, as needed.

 

Qualifications:

degree in social science, psychology, sociology or other similar subjects;
very good knowledge of child protection standard and procedures, of case management steps and its tools;
at least 3 years of working experience in case management (better if with IDPs/Refugees children);
at least one year of experience in mid level management role and/or in technical role;
good skills with excel; work and emails;
