I. Introduction
ZOA Iraq supports vulnerable conflict-affected people with social reconstruction activities, livelihoods assistance and psychosocial support in order to establish stable and peaceful communities with hope for the future.
II. Purpose of the position
The Cashier is responsible for carrying out all cash transactions and reporting within a programme area.
III. Main activities
Tasks responsibilities, results
- Assist and Ensure ZOA’s financial administration procedures are properly implemented according to rules and regulations for compliance
- Prepare and make day to day payments
- Cash management:
- Weekly cash count and reconciliation of cash and advance payment
- Prepare monthly cash control sheets
- Sign off cash control sheet and reconciliation with Programme Manager
- Ensure that all financial transactions are timely and properly recorded in the cash sheet and Accounting software ERP
- Filing documents of all financial transactions in an orderly and standardized way
- Ensure proper accounting for work advances and other advances
- Ensure availability of enough money in the programme area by maintaining an adequate cash flow sheet
- Facilitate financial and donor audits
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
I. Competencies
Knowledge and Experience
- Proven working experience of 1-2 years in the relevant field;
- Minimum education: degree in Accounting or finance professional studies
- Affinity with development work and International NGO’s;
- Fluent in Arabic in reading, writing and speaking;
- Good knowledge of English in reading, writing and speaking;
- Good knowledge of Kurdish is an advantage;
- Excellent knowledge of computers (accounting systems, Excel, Word).
Skills/Attitude

- Good numerical skills;
- Reliable Personality with good Communicative skills;
- Service-oriented attitude but a hardliner when it comes to keeping up to our administrative procedures;
