Materials Coordinator

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials Coordinator on a 4/4 rotation based in Basra, Iraq.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the shipping of products from designated collection location to end destination
  • Coordination of all Transportation requirements, including loading and unloading, personnel and in gauge and out of gauge transport
  • Coordination with end destination for the receipt of materials and completion of required documentation
  • Preparation for Load reports and load plans to ensure safe and secure cargo
  • Liaison with Quality Assurance, Quality control and HSE to ensure compliance with company and Client
  • Communication with warehouse facilities to ensure capacity is in line with material arrival and storage plans
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met and reported to stake holders
  • Streamlines shipping and transportation processes
  • Management of Material Trackers to ensure end to end visibility for all materials under delivery to designated sites in Kazakhstan
  • Control Inventory within warehouse including Material Issue Vouchers, Material Movement Tickets, Min/Max levels and Inventory counts to maximise efficiency and availability
  • Coordinates all Customs processes under TCO exemption certification, including reporting to customs as to location of materials at any given time
  • Movement of materials between Customs regions
  • Issues Stock reports on a weekly basis to all stakeholders
  • Reporting to client on delivery schedules and material availability
  • Populating materials data into Client materials database and receiving system
  • Managing freight under importation and also local delivery cycles

Skills / Qualifications

  • Preferably educated to a high standard
  • Certification in Customs processes and Procedures knowledge of Material control ERP and MRP systems
  • Previous experience in Oil and Gas Materials Control, Transportation and Logistics
  • Previous experience in Customs processes and Procedures globally but especially in Kazakhstan
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Good general PC skills
  • Prior experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Customs standards and procedures
  • Team Management Skills
  • Works closely with internal teams, third party logistics providers, brokers, freight forwarders, and trade advisory consultants to ensure global trade compliance.
