The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a Program Evaluator to source, evaluate and recommend quality primetime & daytime documentaries for MBN’s broadcast networks that are consistent with MBN’s programming and corporate mission at our Headquarters office in Springfield, VA.
The Program Evaluator evaluates and recommends programs for future acquisition consideration, while exercising editorial judgment and maintaining professional journalistic standards. The incumbent conducts in-depth research to assess accuracy, relevance and timeliness of program content to inform recommendations; and cultivates awareness of regional viewing trends as well as regional programming needs and sensitivities (religious, cultural, political).
The Program Evaluator conceives and develop scheduling strategies to maximize audience viewership, and provides Arabic title direction to the Promotional department. The incumbent maintains relationships with vendors, and reviews to identify action that might need to be taken with the Vendor.

QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• At least a Degree in Film Production and/or prior experience in television broadcasting preferred
• Keen awareness of regional geo-political, cultural and religious sensitivities
• Knowledge of Middle Eastern viewing sensibilities and trends and the competitive television landscape
• Strong editorial judgment regarding production values and content of acquired programming.
• Deadline driven individual with keen attention to detail
• Knowledge of Arabic is a plus
