The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) was established on December 14, 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly. The agency is mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. Its primary purpose is to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees. It also has a mandate to help stateless people.

In more than six decades, the agency has helped tens of millions of people restart their lives. Today, a Staff of some 6,600 people in more than 110 countries continues to help about 34 million persons. To help and protect some of the world’s most vulnerable people in so many places and types of environment, UNHCR must purchase goods and services worldwide. UNHCR ACTIVITIES IN TURKEY

UNHCR has been active in Turkey for over 50 years, primarily providing assistance to refugees and asylum seekers. With the large influx of Syrian refugees into Turkey, UNHCR has been the lead UN agency providing support to the Government of Turkey in addressing their needs. With the ongoing conflict in Syrian that is now in its 10th year, which has led to over 3 million Syrian refugees seeking safe haven in Turkey, UNHCR wishes to support the national and local authorities by providing Music Instruments for Minister of Family and Social Services, Directorate General of Elderly and Disabled Services.

REQUIREMENTS

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Branch Office, Ankara, invites qualified manufacturers and solution providers who are locally registered in Turkey to make a firm offer for provision of Music Instruments for Minister of Family and Social Services, Directorate General of Elderly and Disabled Services. (referred to hereinafter as goods.)

SUBMISSION OF BID:

The offers must bear your official letter head, clearly identifying your company. Bids should be submitted by express mail or hand delivered and placed in the tender box to UNHCR CO Ankara office premises with sealed in an outer and two inner envelopes, the first one marked “Technical offer’ and the second one: “Financial offer”. Please note that the two-envelope principle must be respected or the whole OFFER shall be DISQUALIFIED.
