Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for assisting with all Patient Navigation and Business Services (PNBS) initiatives impacting patient services and business development in the Middle East. In this role, you will be responsible for all business development activities in the Middle East including patient acquisition, payer and patient satisfaction and promotion of UCLA Health in the region. You will also identify business opportunities and growth-oriented strategic options; identify opportunities to enhance and maintain relationships with local international groups and multinational organizations.
As our Middle East Regional Director, you will be responsible for implementation of and assist in the development of regional strategy and business development plans and will serve as lead and oversee the process and care of patients of interest (POI) from the region, as identified by PNBS. You will work closely and collaboratively with Patient Navigation Case Managers and assigned care coordinators to facilitate new referrals from the Middle East and/or any referrals identified by PNBS as Patients of Interest.
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of business development concepts, practices, and functions including health care research resources.
Advanced problem solving skills to assess complex issues and develop solutions; independently analyze information and situations and solve problems.
Demonstrated clinical experience to understand, interpret and communicate medical diagnosis and courses of treatment to professional and non-professional personnel to obtain review and medical acceptance of referrals.
Experience working with international clients (patients, payers, government entities, healthcare providers, etc) with strong knowledge of the culture, practices and healthcare needs and systems in the Middle East, and in the Arab Gulf region in particular.
Expert ability to read, write, speak Arabic fluently and ability to express succinctly and accurately complex knowledge and information in both English and Arabic to serve as the cultural and linguistic bridge between the two cultures strongly preferred
Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and effectively with multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams
Ability to build and maintain relationships with external clients and partners, and strong ability to work collaboratively with medical staff and leadership.
