Responsibilities
- Acting as point of contact and spokesperson for all Financial aspects of HRF in Iraq including KRI.
- Providing complete and parallel Financial Accounting Services to HRF maintaining proper records of all financial activities.
- Implementation & Administration of payroll, holidays, insurance etc
- Providing financial expertise, leadership and high-quality support to the Management Teams in Iraq and HQ.
- Dealing with all queries and compliance issues relating to Iraq and KRI and ensuring the financial policy and procedures are followed throughout.
- Preparing quarterly reports for Management.
- To ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial information including budgets and forecasts.
- To ensure necessary controls and monitoring is in place. and monitor these
- Maintain income sheets of revenue including monthly revenue such as grants or other payments
- Using QuickBooks to record all transactions.
- Maintaining separate records and reconciliations for:
- restricted or ring fenced donations or grants for specific projects
- funds raised through specific donors or for specific projects (including setting up and managing separate budgets and expense controls for each)
- Managing and administering:
- All day to day incoming & outgoing amounts, banking and cash flow handling and settling all approved invoices and expense claims
- Payroll for HRF Iraq
- Outgoing payments to suppliers
- Receipt of payments and making payments, for projects in Iraq a whilst maintaining separate budgets and records and liaising where necessary with the Programmes Department and the International Programmes Director (HQ).
- You will be responsible for the management and development of the finance staff.
- Completion of all relevant Quarterly/Annual (as applicable) or other Statutory Compliance requirements for HRF such as audit, employee taxes and other statutory requirements:
- Preparation of annual end of year accounts, filings and documentation for annual audits
- Filing all relevant records with any relevant Statutory Body.
- Maintaining all relevant records and implementing changes to existing handling of records as required for compliance purposes and annual review of the Financial Policy to ensure best practice.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Minimum 5 years of financial management experience preferably within a similar sector.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Qualified or Part-Qualified CA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent highly preferred.
- Educated to degree level in relevant field.
- Fluency in Arabic.
