Title of the position: Coordinator

Work location: Basra (2 persons) and Diwaniyah (2 persons)

Starting date: A.S.A.P

Fulltime– 10 month’s contract

 

 

Summary: Al Khair Humanitarian Organization is a non-governmental organization and non-profit organization based in Maysan province. Al-Khair Humanitarian Organization is currently seeking to appoint a Coordinator to help and assist its activities through the Qudrat project in cooperation with GIZ – PSD and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU).

The project focus on supporting job seekers and returnees and enhancing their qualification and access to employment. The main objective is to improve the access to employment opportunities, particularly in the private sector for job seekers and returnees in Basra and Diwaniya.

 

Key duties and responsibilities: 

The overall responsibility of the coordinator will be to:

  • Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving the project output.
  • Prepare background material for use in discussions and briefing sessions.
  • Carry out practical day-to-day activities including mentoring the trainings and collecting the relevant data and draft weekly and monthly report
  •  Identify implementation difficulties and initiate remedial actions.
  • Carry out the collection of data and baselines and criteria contained in the assessment and as required.
  • Draft the purchase requests when is needed.
  • Follow up with beneficiaries during the activities and afterwards.
  • Support the project manager with other duties related to the project implementation.

 

Qualifications:

1.Previous experience in management role with NGOs.

  1. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
  2. Good level of English and ICT skills.
    4. Excellent communications skills.
