About RRD: RRD (Al Rakeezeh Foundation for Relief and Development) is a non-governmental civil society independent foundation, established in 2015. RRD has been working on community development, supporting vulnerable groups, and rescuing the victims of disasters and conflicts in all possible assistance fields regardless of the race, ethnicity, religion, and color of the target people.

Job purpose: 

The projects coordinator will be based in Erbil, with travel as needed to other governorates. He/ She will work on strengthening the image of the foundation in front of donors and civil society organizations through building an effective communication strategy capable of building a positive image of the foundation in front of others. The strategy will include the development of communication tools and the content of messages issued by the foundation. Strengthening the foundation’s presence in all available spaces such as networks, coalitions, UN clusters, and others, in order to enhance the foundation’s ability to network. Building direct bilateral relationships with donors. Supporting the foundation in writing project proposals according to the best-accepted standards and in a way, that enhances its chances of obtaining funding. 

Main responsibilities: 

• The post holder will be the main representative of RRD in front of Donors, partners, INGOs, meetings, etc. 
• Develop a roadmap of fundraising based on his/her previous experience
• Develop a concrete strategy of communication and coordination with relevant donors and partners.   
• Be a key person in any project writing  
• Be a key person in the organizational capacity building  

 

• Minimum of BSc degree, a higher degree is an advantage
• Having proven experience in working with NNGOs INGOs in the field of concern
• Ability to work independently
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of concern 
• Proven experience in grants management 
• Proven experience in fundraising
• Proven experience in dealing with well-known donors e.g. EU, USAID, UN agencies, GIZ, etc. 
• Proven experience in coordination with international donors 
• Proven experience in organizational representation 
• Proven experience in communication and public relations 
• Having excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and paying attention to details
• Fluency in English and Arabic is a must, Kurdish is an advantage 

Nationality: any (foreign applicants must provide a valid work permit) 

Salary: will be determined after the interview

Contract duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension based on the performance and fund availability
