MSF / Baghdad Covid-19 response team is seeking for: Sterilization Technician

 

Main Purpose:

According to protocols applied in the corresponding service(s) or ward(s) of a medical structure, carrying out sterilization of medical equipment, instrument and surfaces, according to MSF protocols and  procedures and (international) hygiene standards, in order to ensure an efficient quality of care and safe environment.

العمل وفقًا للبروتوكولات المطبقة في الخدمة (الخدمات) المناظرة أو عنبر أو عنابر الهيكل الطبي، والقيام بتعقيم المعدات الطبية والأدوات والأسطح ، وفقًا لبروتوكولات وإجراءات منظمة أطباء بلا حدود ومعايير النظافة (الدولية) ، من أجل ضمان الجودة الفعالة للرعاية  الطبية وتوفيربيئة آمنة.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Knowing and strictly applying all specific sterilization and hygiene protocols and security rules. Proactively seeking advice and clarifications from the functional supervisor in case of doubt, about the specific protocols or procedure to follow in each specific case.
• Knowing and implementing the procedure in case of accidental exposure to blood, and always keep line managers informed on time.
• Maintaining clean, disinfected and safe, the working environment allocated to his/her position, applying the specific protocols and using the tools and equipment provided. This includes cleaning all instruments in the sterilization solution and running them through the sterilizer, operating at the instructed correct time.
• Maintaining clean and organized, the sterilization area/room and equipment, recognizing all instruments as per the provided diagrams, organizing all instruments for packaging, packing the instruments according to the sets as directed by the supervisor and labeling all sets correctly with the expiry date clearly indicated.
• Delivering the instruments to the different wards or departments (ER/IPD / ICU).
• Respecting the hygiene rules during transportation of clean / dirty instruments.
• Collaborates with the cleaners to collect and evacuate waste produced by medical structures to the designated site, previously sorted by medical staff, emptying out dustbins as often as necessary to ensure an efficient quality of care and safe environment.
• Reporting any repair or maintenance work needed related to sterilization to the supervisor, as well as any relevant information related to his/her responsibilities.
• Ensuring availability of sterilized instruments and material and drawing up orders for on-going needs.
• Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of the biomedical equipment following user manual and protocols. Alerting the supervisor in case of malfunctioning of any device.
• Any other assigned duty related to sterilization or IPC

 

• الإلمام ب وتطبيق جميع بروتوكولات التعقيم والنظافة الشخصية والقواعد الأمنية بدقة. السعي بإستباقية للحصول على المشورة والتوضيحات من المشرف الوظيفي في حالة الشك بأي عملية تعقيمية حول البروتوكولات أو الإجراءات المحددة الواجب اتباعها في كل حالة محددة.
• الإلمام بالإجراءات المتخذة وتنفيذها في حالة التعرض لحادث عرضي بالدم ، واعلام المدراء دائمًا في الوقت المناسب.
• الحفاظ على بيئة وادوات عمل نظيفة وآمنة ، وتطبيق البروتوكولات المحددة واستخدام الأدوات والمعدات المقدمة. ويشمل ذلك تنظيف جميع الأدوات في محلول التعقيم من خلال تمريرها بجهاز التعقيم، الذي يعمل في الوقت الصحيح المطلوب.
• الحفاظ على منطقة / غرفة التعقيم والمعدات نظيفة ومنظمة ، والتعرف على جميع الأدوات وفقًا للرسومات التخطيطية المقدمة ، وتنظيم جميع أدوات التعبئة والتغليف ، وتعبئة الأدوات وفقًا للمجموعات وفقًا لتوجيهات المشرف ووضع العلامات على جميع المجموعات بشكل صحيح على ان يكون تاريخ انتهاء الصلاحية مبين بوضوح.
• تسليم الأدوات إلى العنابر او الأقسام المختلفة (قسم الطوارىء, قسم المرضى الداخليين, قسم العناية المركزة)
• احترام واتباع قواعد النظافة أثناء نقل الأدوات النظيفة / الغير نظيفة.
• التعاون مع عمال النظافة لجمع وإخلاء النفايات التي تنتجها الهياكل الطبية إلى الموقع الذي تم تحديده ، والنفايات التي تم فرزها من قبل الطاقم الطبي ، وإفراغ صناديق القمامة كلما كان ذلك ضروريًا لضمان جودة رعاية آمنة وبيئة آمنة.
• الإبلاغ عن أي أعمال الصيانة /تصليحات اللازمة المتعلقة بالتعقيم إلى المشرف ، وكذلك أي معلومات ذات صلة تتعلق بمسؤولياته/ها.
• ضمان توافر الأدوات والمواد المعقمة ، والقيام بارسال طلبيات للمواد اللازمة للعمل .
• إجراء عمليات صيانة بسيطة وتنظيف المعدات الطبية باتباع دليل المستخدم والبروتوكولات المعمول بها . تنبيه المشرف في حالة حدوث خلل في أي جهاز.
• أي واجب آخر يكلف به فيما يتعلق بالتعقيم او التحكم بالعدوى والحد من انتشارها.

 

 

Education التحصيل الدراسي	Literacy (reading and writing). Internally trained by MSF desirable (MSF will train before starting). OT training desirable يجيد القراءة والكتابة ,يتم تدريبه/ها داخليا على مستوى منظمة اطباء بلا حدود (قبل الشروع بالعمل) ويفضل من لديهم خبرة في غرف العمليات
Experience الخبرات	Previous experience in relevant positions desirable يفضل مم لديهم خبرات في هذا المجال
Languages	Mission language and local language essential
اللغات	اللغة العربية بشكل اساسي / اللغة الانكليزية
